Description:

"The Ape-oid was remarkably fast, but mostly he had longer arms than I was used to. He managed to knock the stinger out of my hand just as it cleared the holster. I think he was just as surprised when he realized that I had longer legs as my foot lashed out and hit him in his hairy chest, knocking him onto his back. I reached into my hidden holster and pulled my antique projectile weapon." Rust Bucket is the first in the Rust Bucket Universe Series by Atk Butterfly. Others in the series include Attack Butterfly, Dust Bunny, and Paravoid. Boson Books also offers Space Rescue One by the same author. Enjoy them all.

From the Author

Rust Bucket is the first book of a series, and it is the first to be published. When the original idea came to me, I knew immediately that I had to write it. I was intrigued by the situation for a government's space navy if it suddenly found itself facing war without having ever fought a warsince its establishment a centry earlier. Consequently, I sat down and wrote Rust Bucket almost immediately, as I wanted to find out how it ended. Many more good ideas for sequels and prequels popped up before I

finished. Consequently, I just knew I'd have to write them all, regardless of how long it would take. Some are novella length. Others are clearly novel length. Regardless, they are all fun to writeas I discover the rest of the Rust Bucket Universe. The series continues to expand as more ideas roost within my mind until I write them down. Atk. Butterfly has written and published a number of science fiction stories. He also writes technical computer articles published in computer magazines. He edits Preditors & Editors, a web resource for writers, composers, game designers, and artists.
